The Great Migration - NBA Players on the Move to Europe

The latest in a long string of players to officially leave the NBA to join an international team is Krystic. This seems to be a new trend among talented NBA players who want more playing time, and more importantly, more money. Though this doesn't have any direct implications on the fantasy basketball, if the trend multiplies and people move out, we might start playing international fantasy basketball.

The biggest named player that has left the NBA is of course Josh Childress. In the NBA he is best known as the player who has never lived up to his potential. When he came into the league there was even talk that he would be the next Magic Johnson because of his height and his ball handling ability. However, a few injuries later, he is still all potential. In the past couple days, the Suns tried to work out a sign and trade deal to get Childress over to the Suns. however, he did not accept probably because he would have to come of the bench. People speculate that he will come back in a couple years, but i dont think so.

Outside of the US, basketball players are treated like royalty. Everywhere they go, people yell and scream their names. They are pampered everywhere they go and are almost higher up in the social ladder than the movie stars. That is one of the reasons that i think that the players will stay permanently. I mean who in their right minds would leave money, fame, fortune, and all the girls you could ask for? I know I wouldn't.
